John Rosengard
President/CEO - Oakland, CAJohn Rosengard founded ERCI in Oakland, California in 1994, after six years in business planning and development with FMC Corporation and environmental cleanup contractors in Chicago.
Since founding ERCI he has led the following activities:- Developed Remedy Defender, a software tool to compare and prioritizing environmental cleanup strategies.
- Developed Portfolio Defender, a software tool to aggregate environmental liability forecasts for reserves, budgeting and lifecycle cost estimating.
- Developed Due Diligence Defender, a software tool to identify environmental costs in mergers/acquisitions.
- Trained and currently supports about 300 Defender software users, who are primarily corporate environmental cleanup program managers and their financial auditors.
- Facilitated strategic, financial and litigation risk analysis on about 2,800 sites with an aggregate reserve value of more than $3 billion.
He served on the ASTM committee which drafted and published the environmental reserve calculation (E2137) and disclosure (E2173) standard guides in 2001.
A firm believer in the benefits of capital prioritization, Mr. Rosengard has brought clients better strategies that reflect business needs, improved audit defenses and data handling practices, and brought productivity improvements to environmental professionals within larger corporations.
He holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a BS from Georgetown University.

ERCI's staff experience includes contributions toward guidelines set forth by the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM), the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), and the American Petroleum Institute (API), including multiple publications and presentations at nationwide and international venues.
